Key Responsibilities
- Cut, colour, style and groom to a professional level, covering women’s cuts, colour work and styling where applicable
- Carry out men’s cuts, fades, beard grooming and other barbering services
- Find out what each client is after, then propose hairstyles, colour choices and grooming options to match
- Hold client satisfaction and customer service at a high level
- Use professional salon products and equipment safely, and keep tools and work areas spotless, hygienic and in good repair
- Follow current hairdressing and barbering trends and techniques closely
- Build your capability across both hairdressing and barbering disciplines
- Contribute to a supportive team and a positive, professional, client-focused salon
Requirements & Eligibility
- A proven professional track record as a Hairdresser or Barber, showing strong practical ability in either women’s hairdressing or men’s barbering
- Candidates skilled in both areas will be highly regarded
- Practical background in fades, grooming, colouring, styling or cutting, depending on your speciality
- A professional attitude and keen attention to detail, together with strong communication and client service skills
- Open to learning and to broadening your skills across other areas of the industry, and comfortable working independently while still contributing effectively to a team
- Relevant industry qualifications or recognised training will be an advantage
- Prepared to supply information and documents that support identity and experience verification where required; candidates seeking sponsorship must meet relevant employer and visa eligibility requirements
