HR Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Own recruitment strategy and workforce planning, and partner with leadership on organisational planning and change
  • Create onboarding and engagement programs that work for staff, and deliver them well
  • Guide managers through employee relations matters, workplace investigations and conflict resolution
  • Help managers handle performance and build their people's capability
  • Handle sponsorship and visa paperwork for employees
  • Make sure the organisation meets Australian employment legislation and its own workplace policies
  • Oversee HR records and information systems, contribute to payroll coordination and keep HR admin on track
  • Continually review HR policies, procedures, processes and best practice to lift standards and operational efficiency
  • Drive wellbeing and return-to-work initiatives, build trusted relationships throughout the organisation, and use effective people strategies to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture that supports growth

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Background as a Human Resources Manager or a Senior HR Generalist
  • In-depth understanding of Australian employment laws and Modern Awards
  • Solid track record across recruitment, employee relations and performance management
  • Excellent at leading, coaching and managing stakeholders, and able to handle multiple priorities when the pace is fast
  • Well organised and analytical, a capable problem solver, and a strong written and verbal communicator
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with HR management systems is advantageous; knowing Connecteam and Xero Payroll is desirable
  • Candidates from hospitality, retail, manufacturing or similar operational industries are highly regarded
  • Having managed employee sponsorships and visa processes is preferred
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and focused on high-quality HR outcomes
