Maintenance Fitter

An established NSW manufacturer needs a Maintenance Fitter whose practical mechanical maintenance experience is matched by the right trade qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after mechanical production equipment, including conveyor systems and mechanical components, so it stays at a safe operating standard
- Investigate faults and complete mechanical repairs, responding quickly to breakdowns to get equipment running again
- Deliver preventative maintenance programs and inspect machinery for wear, damage and possible failures
- Service and work on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Process maintenance work through CMMS and record every completed repair and maintenance task
- Liaise with production staff while maintenance is under way, helping production run smoothly and continuously
- Contribute to engineering and maintenance improvement work
- Stay compliant with all workplace safety requirements
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade is essential
- At least 1 year of Australian maintenance experience is essential
- Demonstrated industrial mechanical maintenance background; Manufacturing or FMCG experience is highly regarded
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to identify and resolve equipment faults, and an understanding of preventative maintenance practice
- Demonstrated commitment to safety at work, supported by a reliable, professional work history
- Able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and experience
- Currently residing in Australia and willing to relocate within NSW
- Eligible candidates must satisfy applicable 482 sponsorship requirements
