Mechanical / HVAC Site Manager

This Perth site leadership role calls for someone who has delivered big HVAC and mechanical construction projects in New Zealand, the UK or Australia. As Site Manager you will take charge of on-site delivery for sizeable D&C HVAC packages, partnering with project teams so work finishes safely, on time and to a high standard.
Developments in the pipeline cover data centre, aviation, defence, healthcare, education, government, hospitality and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of on-site HVAC installation from day to day, deploying labour, materials and site resources where they are needed
- Direct subcontractors and mechanical trades so the works track to the agreed construction programme
- Keep a close eye on installation quality and put things right when needed, upholding firm safety and compliance standards
- Read and apply HVAC specifications, drawings and technical requirements, and sort out technical, installation and construction problems
- Partner with engineering teams and Project Managers
- Act as the site contact for builders, consultants and the wider stakeholder group
- Support the handling of project changes and variations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years in mechanical or HVAC construction, gained in New Zealand, Australia or the UK, with a track record on large commercial mechanical services or HVAC projects
- Tier 1 construction experience strongly preferred
- In-depth understanding of HVAC systems and how they are installed, plus experience applying specifications and technical drawings
- An engineering or trade qualification that is relevant, or extensive experience in the industry
- Proven at managing subcontractors and teams, with excellent stakeholder management and communication
- UK candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply; eligible overseas candidates may be offered sponsorship
