Key Responsibilities
- Organise the flow of parts that keeps daily workshop activity moving, reviewing what the workshop needs and placing orders efficiently
- Keep purchase order records and documentation accurate
- Liaise with suppliers on availability, deliveries and order progress, and check incoming deliveries against the required specifications
- Process returns, cancellations and supplier credits, along with the records that go with them
- Keep inventory data and stock movement history accurate, watch usage trends and help hold stock at the right levels, running regular audits and looking into any discrepancies
- Track workshop tools and equipment records
- Smooth the workflow between the parts function and workshop teams, and assist with admin linked to vehicle preparation and workshop operations
- Store and handle parts in line with workplace safety procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in automotive parts, purchasing, stock control or dealership operations; experience as a Service Advisor with strong workshop administration skills will be considered
- Good understanding of how automotive repairs work and what parts they require
- Strong attention to detail, excellent record management and the ability to organise tasks, meet deadlines and juggle changing priorities
- Professional communication with suppliers and internal teams, and confidence using computer systems for data entry, reporting and reconciliation
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new systems
- Valid driver's licence
- Demonstrated automotive industry experience suited to an overseas career move; candidates who meet the experience requirements may be eligible for visa sponsorship consideration
