The salon wants a skilled, motivated Hairdresser who handles a broad mix of professional services with confidence and gives each client an excellent experience from start to finish.
The position is permanent and full-time at 38 hours per week, paying a salary of $78,000 plus superannuation. Ongoing training, professional support and room for career development are included. Key Responsibilities
- Begin every appointment with a thorough consultation, then suggest hairstyles, colours and haircare solutions that suit the client
- Cut hair for women, men and children to a professional standard
- Deliver colour work including foils, balayage, toning and root retouching
- Complete blow-drying, styling and finishing, along with shampooing and hair treatment services
- Make sure each client leaves with a positive, professional salon experience, recommending suitable retail haircare products where appropriate
- Uphold high standards of personal presentation and salon hygiene, with workstations kept clean, organised and ready
- Observe salon procedures, safety practices and professional standards
- Back up colleagues so the salon runs efficiently each day, and help keep the atmosphere friendly and welcoming
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant professional hairdressing experience, with demonstrated ability in cutting, colouring and styling
- Competence in modern colouring techniques including foils and balayage
- Strong consultation and client relationship skills, excellent communication and customer service, and a professional approach with close attention to detail
- Reliable and well presented, committed to professional standards, able to juggle multiple client requirements in a busy salon and to work well within a team
- Must satisfy the relevant requirements for visa sponsorship
