Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, respectful nursing care tailored to each resident, protecting their dignity, comfort and quality of life
  • Assess and monitor residents' health, responding as care needs change
  • Coordinate and oversee clinical care across your assigned shifts, prioritising tasks and managing clinical responsibilities effectively
  • Lead and guide care staff at ward level, mentoring team members and supporting their development
  • Work alongside nurses, carers and other healthcare professionals, communicating professionally with residents, families and colleagues
  • Keep clinical records and documentation accurate
  • Apply appropriate aged care clinical practices and procedures, including knowledge of AN-ACC
  • Support residents receiving palliative and end-of-life care
  • Help uphold high standards of care and service quality
  • Work rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, and a recognised nursing qualification suitable for practice in Australia
  • Demonstrated aged care experience, or experience in a comparable clinical setting, plus experience or knowledge of palliative care
  • Working knowledge of AN-ACC
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • A commitment to person-centred care and confidence working both independently and in a team
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate and current Australian driver's licence
  • Able to obtain or satisfy National Police Check requirements
  • International applicants must meet Australian nursing registration requirements and must satisfy applicable employer sponsorship and visa criteria
  • Willing to work a rotating roster covering all shift types
