Rope Access Technician

Rope access technicians who have worked on high-rise façades in Dubai, Doha or elsewhere could find a well-matched next move in Victoria. A specialist building maintenance operation is recruiting qualified Rope Access Technicians who bring proven technical ability, recognised industry credentials and a dependable approach on site.

Technicians at Level 1, 2 or 3 will be placed across building maintenance projects throughout Victoria, pairing rope access with practical trade skills such as façade services, window cleaning, painting, caulking, glazing, inspections and remedial works.

The work and development offered to you will reflect your certification level, logged rope hours, site history and supporting trade qualifications, with further training and possible progression into supervisory duties for those who want to advance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out rope access work in line with industry standards and site safety procedures
  • Deliver building maintenance and other high-access tasks
  • Clean commercial windows from ropes
  • Handle painting and concrete repairs
  • Complete caulking and sealing
  • Help with glazing and façade upkeep, and take part in façade inspections and remedial projects
  • Use and look after rope access gear safely
  • Spot and report hazards on site and any concerns about equipment
  • Keep your work accurate and professional
  • Cooperate effectively with supervisors and others on site
  • Take part in ongoing training and development

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Current IRATA or SPRAT certification at Level 1, 2 or 3; Level 1 candidates need at least 500 logged rope access hours
  • A current Construction White Card and current First Aid certification
  • Practical rope access experience that can be verified
  • Proven experience in any of window cleaning, painting, concrete repair, caulking or glazing is advantageous
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and close attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and a professional work ethic
  • Able to provide evidence of your qualifications, tickets and relevant work experience
  • An Australian driver's licence is preferred
  • Willing to undertake additional training where required
  • Available Monday to Friday, plus occasional Saturdays
  • Visa sponsorship is available to suitable candidates
