Adelaide-based Service Technician wanted: an industrial electrician ready to step into specialised field service on overhead cranes, hoists, gantries and industrial lifting systems. Here, your worth is measured by the faults you trace, the repairs you complete and the outcomes you deliver on site.
Training specific to the lifting industry is included. You will apply the electrical grounding you already have to commissioning work, planned maintenance, breakdown call-outs and fault diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
- Trace and clear electrical faults, complex ones included, on overhead cranes, hoists and other industrial lifting equipment by applying solid diagnostic skills
- Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs and complete the necessary repairs
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, electrical inspections and servicing in line with the required standards
- Commission crane control systems, then test and troubleshoot them
- Get hands-on with PLCs, motors, contactors, VSDs, limit switches and the controls linked to them
- Write up precise service reports and maintenance documentation
- Travel to customer sites across the city and regional areas, plus occasional interstate trips when required
- Join a rotating on-call roster and put in additional hours and guaranteed overtime as the work demands
Requirements & Eligibility
- Cert III in Electrotechnology or a qualification equivalent to it
- Holds a Current Electrical Licence or a Provisional Electrical Licence
- Proven experience in industrial electrical work, including hands-on PLC fault-finding and a demonstrated capacity to diagnose electrical problems without help
- Practical experience with control systems and industrial motors, plus strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable working alone while keeping customer relationships professional
- Willing to learn the technology of overhead cranes and lifting equipment, and to travel approximately 10–30% outside metropolitan areas
- Suitable candidates with verified qualifications and relevant experience may be considered for sponsorship
