  • Coach team members, offer regular feedback and deepen their understanding of technical outdoor products and equipment through product education
  • Foster a positive workplace culture centred on accountability, teamwork and customer service, supported by structured development through internal training programs
  • Drive sales towards the agreed store KPIs, applying commercial insight to new sales opportunities and shifting customer needs
  • Oversee stock control, store administration, merchandising and operational processes
  • Look for ways to raise store efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Hold firm standards in customer service, store presentation and operational compliance
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Manager and regional leadership

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Demonstrated retail leadership as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager or in a comparable senior position, including a proven record of managing, coaching and developing retail employees
  • A strong commercial understanding of sales targets, KPIs and retail performance
  • A confident, hands-on leadership style, able to motivate a small team while keeping performance standards clear
  • Strong capabilities in customer service, relationship-building, communication and decision-making
  • Sound administration, organisation and operational management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment
  • Genuine enthusiasm for outdoor recreation, adventure, technical clothing or specialist outdoor equipment
  • Availability to work the required Tuesday–Saturday roster
  • International applicants are required to bring relevant and verifiable professional experience
  • Applicants seeking Accredited Employer sponsorship must satisfy applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements, and eligible overseas applicants may receive employer-supported visa sponsorship and relocation assistance
