Endorsed Enrolled Nurses ready to take charge of a care team will find a verified leadership opening in residential aged care in Newborough, Victoria. The position is permanent and can be worked full-time or part-time.
On each shift you will steer quality care, back your colleagues and help shape a home where residents are treated with dignity, respect and genuine compassion.
This is not a simple vacancy match. Selection confirms that each candidate holds the credentials, registrations and practical ability to lead, with assessment covering professional qualifications, AHPRA registration, medication endorsement, required clearances and the genuine demands of the role. For experienced nurses working in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, or elsewhere, it is a considered next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer safe, respectful, person-centred care, shaped around each resident's individual needs, preferences and goals
- Oversee care staff on allocated shifts, offering guidance and support from start to finish
- Organise residents' care requirements across your assigned area
- Partner with nursing and clinical colleagues so continuity of care is never lost
- Look after residents' physical, emotional and social wellbeing, including monitoring their nutrition and hydration
- Administer medication and support related activities within your authorised scope of practice
- Contribute to pressure care management and other clinical care tasks, and help keep care documentation accurate
- Encourage clear, effective communication across the care team and use the workplace systems and technology that support care delivery
- Observe workplace health and safety requirements and keep infection prevention and control to a high standard
- Help build a supportive, professional workplace culture centred on residents
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Diploma of Enrolled Nursing or an equivalent recognised qualification, and the ability to provide evidence of both your qualifications and registration
- Current AHPRA registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, together with authorisation to administer medication inside the relevant professional scope
- A current National Police Check
- An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
- Integrity, reliability and professional accountability you can demonstrate
- The ability to supervise, guide and support other care staff, backed by strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to aged care that is compassionate and person-centred
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures and an understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- The ability to work with relevant technology and workplace information systems, and readiness to undertake ongoing professional learning and development
- Previous residential aged care experience will be highly regarded
- Visa sponsorship may be considered for international candidates who meet the verified eligibility requirements
