An established engineering and manufacturing business in Wetherill Park, Sydney wants experienced First-Class Welder/Fabricators who can turn out precise, reliable fabrication in a professional workshop.

Key Responsibilities
- Read technical drawings, plans and fabrication specifications, then fabricate and weld to engineering requirements
- Weld with MIG, TIG and Stick processes across a range of applications and positions
- Measure, mark, cut and prepare materials accurately, then fit, align and assemble components ahead of final welding
- Lay down clean, consistent, structurally sound welds while holding accurate dimensions and tolerances
- Check finished work for accuracy, quality and compliance, and sort out any fabrication, fit-up or welding problems
- Operate workshop machinery, tools and welding gear safely, following health, safety and quality procedures and keeping the work area orderly
- Manage assigned workshop tasks independently and efficiently, sustaining high workmanship and productivity
- Liaise with other trades and workshop staff on project needs
- Work overtime, Saturdays included, when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised qualification in Welding, Boilermaking or Fabrication, and the ability to provide evidence of your relevant qualifications and employment experience
- Demonstrated experience as a First-Class Welder/Fabricator, with strong hands-on time in an engineering or heavy fabrication workshop
- Practical MIG, TIG and Stick welding experience, and the confidence to weld in multiple positions
- Proven ability to read and understand engineering drawings, plus strong fabrication, fitting and assembly skills
- Works accurately with minimal supervision and shows a demonstrated commitment to quality and precision
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable attendance, a strong professional work ethic, and the ability and willingness to work regular overtime
- Committed to Australian workplace health and safety standards
