Whether you cut in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh today, a considered next move could be a chair in Sydney. A growing barbershop business there operates three shops, each within about 15 minutes of the others, and has a place open at every one, with further shops planned.
The shops trade seven days, which allows a roster designed around your life, from a few days a week through to seven, on a full-time or part-time basis. Each has its own character: a busy walk-in shop close to a station, a beachside shop with a loyal clientele, and an inner-city room.
Books are full from day one, and the process is measured and quick: a paid half-day trial, then a decision the same day. Visa sponsorship is available for one barber per shop, and working holiday visa holders are welcome.
