Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan and implement nursing care within the supervision of an RN, and assist as patient care is coordinated and evaluated
- Administer medications and monitor how patients respond to treatment
- Take part in health promotion and health education activities
- Provide direct care to patients, including assistance with personal hygiene
- Support RNs with patient assessments and with clinical procedures
- Maintain clinical documentation to an accurate standard
- Observe Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report incidents and hazards promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration and the relevant nursing qualification for an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in community nursing and home care, including minimum one year's full-time relevant experience
- Current National Criminal History Check and current Working with Children Check
- Current Manual Handling Certificate, Infection Control certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Valid driver's licence
- Current vaccinations: COVID-19 and influenza
