A considered next move for an experienced nurse: a permanent, full-time Registered Nurse appointment in Perth with a healthcare company owned in Western Australia. Its work spans care delivered in clients' homes, community nursing and services for veterans through the DVA, alongside the placement of skilled nurses in hospitals and residential aged care facilities.
The role is varied by design. You would practise at a number of Perth locations, in the CBD and to the north and south of the river, with the Clinical Care Manager as your reporting line. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for each patient to the level accepted nursing practice and standards require
- Consult with fellow health professionals and coordinate patient care across the healthcare team
- Provide the treatments, medications and therapies that care plans call for, with careful monitoring
- Lead health promotion, take part in patient education, and supervise and coordinate Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers
- Maintain accurate records and healthcare documentation
- Uphold current clinical standards in every setting (home care, aged care, hospitals and community nursing), comply with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report incidents and hazards promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration and the relevant nursing qualification for a Registered Nurse
- Experience in community nursing and home care, including minimum one year's full-time relevant experience
- Current National Criminal History Check and current Working with Children Check
- Current Manual Handling Certificate, Infection Control certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Valid driver's licence
- Current vaccinations: COVID-19 and influenza
