Key Responsibilities
- Deliver financial statements and income tax returns for corporate, trust, partnership and individual clients
- Take charge of BAS preparation
- Carry SME accounting and tax engagements through to completion
- Prepare personal returns and contribute to year-end tax planning
- Handle client relationships and, where appropriate, correspondence with the ATO
- Shape your own workflow around statutory deadlines while supporting the Senior Accountant's portfolio on Xero and comparable cloud platforms
Requirements & Eligibility
- Some 2 to 3 years of Australian public practice accounting
- Prior preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Sound command of Australian taxation and compliance, BAS work included
- Highly capable with Xero
- Good written and verbal communication, keen attention to detail and composure across competing deadlines
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or an equivalent field; current or planned CPA or CA studies highly regarded
