A well-regarded, family-owned flooring business, part of a national network, is appointing an experienced Carpet Layer for the long term, valuing quality workmanship and the people it serves.
As an accredited employer, the business is in a position to offer sponsorship through New Zealand's Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
Your working day starts from one base, with installs for the business and its sister store across homes and commercial interiors. You own each job from preparation to a refined finish, Monday to Friday and a couple of Saturdays a month, while guiding an apprentice who will learn from your standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver carpet installations in homes and commercial interiors, from preparation to a refined finish
- Undertake uplift and floor preparation and install in line with industry and manufacturer standards
- Manage your own jobs and represent the business with composure in clients' homes, including for the sister store
- Guide the apprentice and set the standard on the tools
- Begin each working day from a single base
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years' carpet laying experience
- Strong experience with wool and textured carpets
- Assured in floor prep, uplift and installing to industry and manufacturer standards
- A high standard of finish and evident pride in your work
- Reliable and organised, comfortable running your own jobs
- Polite and professional with customers in their homes
- Willing to mentor and support an apprentice
- Available a couple of Saturdays a month and holding a Full NZ driver licence
