Whether you weld in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh today, this Perth position could be a considered next move. An advanced manufacturer in Western Australia is enlarging its facilities in response to strong demand for modular critical power infrastructure and AI data centre solutions, and it is recruiting two trade-qualified welders for full-time, ongoing roles.
The focus is structural and module welding of skid bases, frames and enclosures, carried out from engineering drawings and weld maps, with every weld finished to a high, compliant standard.
The schedule is a 40.5-hour week, from 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and from 6:00am to 12:30pm on Friday. The employer indicates that visa sponsorship is available for the right overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Performing GMAW on solid and cored wire for module builds
- Performing GMAW for structural fabrication
- Welding structural members such as 530UB beams and 150x100 RS rafters to engineering drawings and weld maps
- Welding in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions to approved welding procedures (WPS)
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, weld maps and job specifications
- Preparing steel, fit-up and tacking prior to welding
- Visually inspecting completed welds against the specifications
- Supporting the fabrication team with general fabrication and assembly
- Keeping a safe, clean and well-organised work area in line with company and WHS standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- A trade qualification in welding or boilermaking
- Strong GMAW (MIG) skills on solid wire; experience on cored wire highly regarded
- The ability to pass a 2F weld test in mild steel
- Competent, confident welding in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld maps
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality work
- Your own welding helmet and own hand tools
- A reliable, safety-conscious and strong team player
