Visa sponsorship

Hospitality · Queenstown, New Zealand · Full-Time · $28 - $29/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

For chefs in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh considering their next move, Queenstown, New Zealand, offers a considered step: a hotel bar and restaurant there is appointing two Commis Chefs on permanent contracts of 30 hours a week.

The cuisine is hearty and rustic, and the role spans breakfast service, conference menus, precise plating and dishes for dairy-free and gluten-free guests, all within HACCP and hygiene standards. The roster includes late nights, weekends and public holidays.

The kitchen seeks a cook with experience in a similar position, a confident hand on an à la carte menu and an NZQCF Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience instead. Safe food handling certification is welcome. The employer can potentially offer visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
