A considered next move for hospitality leaders: the General Manager of a large new hostel and hotel property in Auckland, New Zealand. The group behind it runs hostels, hybrid hotel-hostel stays and food and beverage venues across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full property, leading the Host, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance heads
- Set the tone for guest experience and team culture
- Steward financial performance, standards and compliance
- Collaborate with the wider team before opening to establish the operation and its leadership team
- After opening, unite the operation, support your leaders and keep teams aligned
- Shape the culture as the property moves from plans to opening
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience running a busy hotel or hostel operation
- Understanding of lodging, yield management and what drives commercial performance
- Comfortable with budgets and labour
- Equally comfortable with revenue and cost control
- Some food and beverage exposure, ideally across bars, restaurants or busy social venues
- Knowledge of the Auckland hospitality and lodging scene is helpful but not essential
