Key Responsibilities
- Confer with stakeholders so that business requirements are understood, and render them as technical specifications and designs
- Take applications through development, testing and maintenance in C#/.NET, Python, React and JavaScript/Node.js
- Own the design, build and upkeep of RESTful APIs, integrating applications with both NoSQL and SQL databases
- Bring AI capabilities into applications, among them chatbots, large language model (LLM) integrations and automated workflows, and ready the data from which machine learning models for analytics, classification and prediction are built, trained and evaluated
- Oversee deployment and management of applications in Azure or AWS cloud environments by way of CI/CD pipelines
- Produce unit and integration tests, troubleshoot, see defects resolved promptly and contribute to code reviews, upholding best practices in security, code quality and performance
- Keep technical documentation, user guides and test records in order, and extend maintenance, enhancements and technical support to existing systems
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or professional experience of equivalent standing
- Commercial experience of a minimum of 3 years, spanning the design, development and testing of software
- Strong Python programming skills and experience in React, Node.js or C#/.NET
- A proven history of designing APIs and of work with relational (SQL) databases, alongside a sound understanding of testing methodologies, software architecture and version control (Git)
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks, such as PyTorch, the OpenAI API, TensorFlow or scikit-learn
- Experience gained within Agile or Scrum teams
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and equally to work collaboratively within a team
