Whether you work in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, a permanent stonemasonry role in Sydney could be a considered next move. An established stone manufacturer there seeks an experienced Stonemason / Stone Fabricator to produce kitchen benchtops and other pieces in natural and engineered stone, in a workshop that is 100% wet-processing and water-fed.
The appointment is full-time and long term, with an immediate start available. The week runs Monday to Thursday from 7:30am until 5:00pm and Friday from 7:30am until 4:00pm; overtime and Saturday work are available.
Employer-sponsored visa opportunities may be available for suitably qualified and experienced international candidates who meet Australian immigration requirements. Overseas applicants are welcome, as are candidates in Australia on a temporary visa. Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate natural and manufactured stone into kitchen benchtops and other stone applications
- Cut, shape, polish and finish stone, including laminating and mitring edges
- Achieve high-quality mitred joins and finished edges
- Work from plans, drawings and measurements with accuracy and efficiency in a busy production setting
- Uphold a high standard of workmanship and detail, following workplace health and safety procedures and company systems
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated stonemasonry and stone fabrication experience with both natural and manufactured stone
- Confident in laminating, mitring, polishing and finishing
- Reads and interprets plans and drawings
- Produces consistently high-quality finishes, with strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Equally capable working independently or within a team
- Reliable, hardworking and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of meeting the role's requirements
- A current driver's licence, plus a White Card or willingness to obtain one
- A forklift licence is desirable and advantageous, but not essential
- 3+ years' relevant industry experience is preferred, while suitably skilled candidates with less experience will also be considered
