In Queenstown, New Zealand, a vehicle rental branch is appointing a Customer Service / Groomer. Grooming, in this setting, refers to the careful cleaning and preparation of hire vehicles before they go out.
Whether you currently work in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, the brief will feel familiar. Guide business, commercial and recreational travellers through a wide choice of transport, respond to enquiries by phone with assurance, and shape quotes and contracts for short-term local hires and larger long-term agreements alike. The compact, industrious team shares all branch operations.
The appointment is permanent and full time, rostered at 40 hours per week, against branch hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm on weekdays and a 1.00pm close each Saturday. The employer would ideally recruit suitable and available NZ workers. As an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ, however, it can consider candidates who require a work visa, and therefore sponsorship, should it be unable to make such an appointment.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive calls, offering sales advice and quotes
- Prepare contracts and bring transactions to completion
- Schedule vehicle handovers, delivering or picking up vehicles personally
- Attend to office administration and the maintenance of customer accounts
- Keep the vehicle and rental fleet at the branch groomed to the highest standards, ensuring all necessary compliance checks take place
- Assist with identifying and escalating repair and maintenance issues, and manage maintenance and damages as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence, or the equivalent held overseas
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Experience in customer-facing service from an earlier position, ideally from the vehicle rental industry, though not essential
- Previous grooming experience, which is preferred yet not essential
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- A confident phone manner
- Great attention to detail, matched by excellent time management skills
