Whether you cook in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, a Japanese kitchen in Perth may be a considered next move. An izakaya-style restaurant and bar in Western Australia is seeking a full-time Chef and Cook with a background in Japanese cuisine and sushi.
The restaurant now trades from a new venue in a large shopping centre, and its team is growing. Service is high in volume and refined in standard, with a menu of Japanese and fusion dishes. The chef will contribute to menu development and quality control, working split hours of 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm on a salary.

Key Responsibilities
- Craft sushi and cook Japanese and fusion dishes through lunch and dinner service
- Lead the sushi counter or move across the kitchen as an all-rounder
- Contribute to menu development while upholding quality control
- Sustain premium standards at high volume, communicating closely with colleagues
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year in a Japanese restaurant setting
- Experience working as a sushi chef, all-rounder chef or cook
- Strong knowledge across Japanese and fusion cuisine
- Ability to assist with menu development
- Ability to assist with quality control
- Experience within high-end and high-volume restaurants
- A strong sense of responsibility, with excellent teamwork and communication
