A considered career step for a senior network specialist: long-term contract work at the heart of a major bank's infrastructure and technology modernisation in Sydney. The engaging firm is a well-established IT consultancy with a history across finance, government, telecommunications and enterprise that goes back to 2003.
Several Senior Network Engineers are being appointed. Each will design and implement the critical networking constructs that carry the bank through large-scale migration phases, then hand them over with care. Precise firewall engineering on Cisco platforms and resilient F5 traffic management define the role.
This is strictly onsite work, open to onshore professionals residing in Sydney with a valid work visa. Visa sponsorship and existing visa takeover opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure sophisticated networking constructs within Cisco ASA and ACI
- Interpret high-level design specifications as concrete firewall configurations
- Conduct passive and canary deployments, validating every rule set
- Manage and configure F5 GTM and LTM appliances to distribute traffic, with F5 integration that upholds high availability and disaster recovery compliance
- Prepare rigorous change control and rollback procedures and carry them out
- Oversee post-deployment performance and curate documentation for handover
Requirements & Eligibility
- Strong hands-on experience in environments built on Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC
- Proven track record across enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting
- Expertise in the configuration and support of F5 GTM and LTM appliances
- Solid understanding of network capacity planning
- Solid understanding of performance monitoring
- CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications regarded highly
- Based in Sydney and in possession of a valid work visa, as the roles are strictly onsite
