The provider coaches each student one-on-one on a live operating mine, aiming to produce safe, confident operators who are ready for work. It is recruiting 1 Civil Trainer & Assessor, weekdays on 8-12 hour shifts with alternating Saturdays available, and 1 Dozer / Excavator Trainer on production mining D11 and 3600 machines, weekdays on 8-12 hour shifts across 2 mine sites.
The training site lies about 60 minutes north of Perth CBD, so the role is non-FIFO and you are home each evening. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nationally recognised training to a high standard and carry out competency-based assessments
- Provide one-on-one practical operator instruction on a live operating mine site
- Mentor students toward real employment in civil and mining
- Observe site operating procedures and industry best practice, meeting the WHS Act 2020, Mines Safety and Inspection legislation and RTO standards
- Preserve the integrity of each assessment, declaring competent only those who are
- Complete training and assessment documentation with accuracy
- Work collaboratively in a supportive team and maintain a safe, professional, positive learning environment
- As mining trainer, back up the civil side when Dozer & Excavator programmes are not running
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110
- Relevant experience operating civil and mining equipment
- Supervisory experience is desirable
- Composed under pressure and decisive
- Works solo or as part of a team with equal ease
- Strong time management, crucial with customers who have paid for their training
- A sincere passion for helping people
- Pride in upholding high safety and training standards
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and daily breathalyser requirements
- Civil Trainer: current competency and experience across multiple items of civil plant is highly regarded, notably Skid Steer Loader RIIMPO318F, Bulk Water Truck RIIMPO206D, Articulated Haul Truck RIIMPO337E, Telehandler RIIHAN309F, Roller RIIMPO317F, Front End Loader RIIMPO321F, Rigid Haul Truck RIIMPO338E, Integrated Tool Carrier RIIHAN311F and Civil Construction Excavator RIIMPO320F
- Mining Trainer: RIIMPO323E – Dozer and RIIMPO324F – Grader (RII qualifications not required but desirable); the civil plant units above offer an added advantage
